What could my words trigger?

While my thoughts wander aimlesly across the screen, my eyes seem to have found their tranquility through the window into the greenery. Wow, that feels good! I have spent the last couple of hours rummaging through the internet, collecting as many inputs as possible for a new positioning of products. Had been tested COVID positive on last Friday. The words of Zelenskyy, of the Klitschko brothers, this tireless commitment, the fight for freedom, for people, for the future of our children. A friend told me today, how she was discriminated at the airport. Last week there was an intense debate about the abuses of the fortunes by different powerful leaders of the world. I watched the documentary «The last days» on Netflix. Where is justice? With all this buzzing in my head, I still don’t think I’ll take a Paracetamol.
What is life really about? This question seems trivial to me at the moment. However, I cannot detach myself from it.
As a leader, responsibility for people in a humanistic context is very important to me. Everyone has the right to live their own life. Everyone has their own framework. Everyone is a building block in a puzzle that longs to make a contribution, any contribution, to the big picture. We are not eternal in this world. Death defines our time. By then we should have somehow found and defined ourselves.
Why is this so difficult to understand? Why do we often not function in a community?
I believe that looking left and right, continuously benchmarking myself with others brings restlessness. Socialised in our culture, this is explainable but not useful. Driven by fears, envy and perceived entitlement, we chase ourselves to exhaustion. Now let’s be honest: this can not be!
We need rest. Moments where we don’t get lost in our mobile phones and waste our time unproductively. Where we can think. Just think. Breathe. Think. Breathe. Think.
We need cognition. We are in this world for a reason. Even if we have to walk a difficult path, we can master it with mindfulness and courage. We can learn, grow and open up new horizons. Above all, because we are not alone. We can complement each other in the community. Each with all her or his great abilities. And it doesn’t matter which cultural past defines our personal framework. It is the differences that allow us to grow and flourish. Just like in nature. As are we, also: nature.
We need appreciation. A respectful togetherness. Looking at each other. Growing together. Learning from each other.
How is all this supposed to work?
The word is important. Every word has incredible power. That is why the words we speak should always be well chosen. Above all, the other person should be perceived. Good words need time. Sometimes it helps to take three deep breaths and concentrate on your own words before you say them. Pauses in a conversation are perfectly OK. What you need to think about is: What could my words trigger?
So, I’ll get back to my strategy… It’s going to be great!
