Highly complex challenges are good sparring partners for further development. Ok, but they can also cause a lot of stress.
The potential of our brain is used to a maximum of 5%. So, more should be possible… But it doesn’t work like that! We are torn in our lives by pressure to perform, a full agenda, the many different hats we wear, lack of understanding from our counterparts, children and school, permanent accessibility, illness and death and much more.
In our everyday professional lives, we are challenged to transform from a VUCA world into an agile world so that our children’s children and nature have a sustainable future.
How is all this supposed to work?
An agile leadership mindset is needed to achieve the required adaptability together and to do the work with joy and not put health at risk in the process. This is where I became aware of the chameleon. Why? The chameleon has the ability to adapt to its environment with its iridescent scales and at the same time to communicate.
Great! This is exactly what we need for successful development. For me, this has resulted in the following characteristics for an agile leadership mindset, which are crucial for achieving the goals as a team and which can serve as a guiding star.
=> Learn permanently and focus on:
1) Communication
2) Honesty
3) Adaptability
4) Mindfulness
5) Empathy
6) Listening
7) Empowerment
8) Onboarding
9) Non-judgemental Behaviour
This agile leadership mindset is a way to build a bridge between the inworld (=> human, organisation, system) and the environment (=> customer, competition, society) in order to make the world a little better together. If we can meet each other as human beings and do not have to disguise ourselves through our function, then this becomes really motivating and successful.
What do you think? I look forward to your feedback in the comments.
