Positive leadership in a global context

Today is and soon will be the first of May 2023. People went onto the roads to fight for their rights. Besides, the war between Ukraine and Russia is going on, the fighting in Suddan is getting stronger, in Asia the barrel is threatening to overflow, and much more…

All these tragedies also make me very sad. I had the privilege of studying at one of the world’s best universities in Switzerland. The topic: Leadership. We focused on the human being from a variety of perspectives. We talked about the possibilities of humanistic promotion in a global context. We explored the question: How can we make a positive contribution to economic and sustainable development? We analysed trends and backed them up with the latest research results.

Despite all efforts worldwide, people die in war. Innocent people… women and children… starving and dying of thirst… We are destroying natural resources… and habitats… What for?

What seems important to me is that despite the dire and devastating events, we should look positively and benevolently to the global future and try our best to be a helpful and mindful human being.

In doing so, I would like to address the fact that the mindset in global leadership should be one of empathy, adaptability and a positive attitude in order to work effectively in the global context.

οΏ½ Why?

Leadership is an essential part of the global context and refers to a person’s ability to lead, motivate and inspire others to achieve common goals. In the global context, leadership refers to how leaders from different countries and cultures work and communicate with each other to address global challenges.

πŸ‘‰ An essential attitude in global leadership is empathy. Leaders need to be able to put themselves in other people’s shoes, especially in cultures that are very different from each other. They must also be able to understand and respect other cultures and perspectives in order to work together effectively.

πŸ‘‰ Another important attitude is the ability to adapt to changing situations and circumstances. Leaders need to be flexible and adaptable to survive in an ever-changing global environment. They also need to be able to make decisions and take risks to find innovative solutions to complex problems.

πŸ‘‰ Finally, a positive and optimistic attitude is an important mindset in global leadership. Leaders should be able to motivate and inspire their team, even in difficult times, to succeed together.

Even if we cannot simply change the world to our liking, our attitude remains what we can do to be human.

I look forward to an exciting discourse with you.

Best regards

Stephan
